Welcome to our office and we thank you for trusting us with your care.

Referrals

Grandview Gynecology is a specialist office and the Medical Services Plan requires a referral for patients to be seen by a specialist. You may obtain the referral from your family doctor, a “walk-in clinic” or via a telehealth service like Telus Health.

Dr. Tkatch limits her gynecology practice to the following concerns: hormone replacement therapy, menopause management, pelvic rehabilitation, urinary incontinence, sexual health and vaginal laser therapy.

Please make sure your contact information is up-to-date with your family doctor so that we can contact you easily. We may ask you to create a Medeo account to allow us to send you intake forms, book telehealth visits and send you lab requisitions or patient handouts. Medeo is a free and secure online health platform that allows health information to be shared securely with your doctor and her staff.

Initial consultations require an in-clinic visit. Follow-up appointments may be completed virtually by telehealth.

For your initial consultation please help us by coming prepared with your patient history form. Two versions are available, one which can be printed and completed by hand, and the other which has fillable fields and can be typed and saved. Fillable PDF forms work best in Adobe Reader. If you’re having issues with another application (such as Google Chrome or Apple Safari), please try opening it in Adobe Reader.

Please either bring a printed copy of your intake form to your consultation or attach the PDF form to your conversation with our office staff on Medeo.

Your appointment

Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time to allow time to check-in with our office staff and complete any additional forms. Your initial consultation will take between 30 to 60 minutes. Please advise our staff when booking if you would like laser therapy the same day so they may book enough time for you.

Please remember to bring your B.C. Services Card to your appointment.

Your medical consultation and any necessary labs, biopsies and diagnostic imaging are covered by the Medical Services Plan (MSP). MSP does not cover the costs of prescriptions, pessaries or laser therapy, but these be covered by your extended health benefits. Please check with your extended health benefit provider to see what services may be covered — we are unable to advise you on the specifics of your insurance coverage.

Cancellation policy

Missed appointments delay care for everyone. We require at least two business days notice for changing or cancelling appointments, so that we can allocate your appointment slot to another patient. Fees apply to late cancellations and missed appointments.
